1. I am the Chief Investigator for a new project, why is my project not listed?
Details about newly funded projects are only made publicly available once the contract has been agreed and signed by all parties.

2. Can I change/update my lay summary? If so, how?
The plain English summary is taken directly from your funded research proposal and so we would discourage changes to the summary after a project has been funded unless absolutely necessary. However, if you notice an error with the information provided or wish to amend change your lay summary, please email sdonews@southampton.ac.uk

5. Where does the information provided in the online SDO project portfolios come from?
All of the information comes directly from our management information system.  Most of this information is provided by the funded project application.

6. What order do the search results appear in?
The results from any search are displayed in reverse date order, most recent first.

7. How do I apply for funding from the SDO programme?
Please visit the funding opportunities section of our website for information about current calls for proposals.

8. Why is there only an estimated publication date for research that is in progress?
The estimated publication date is set six months after the end of the project.  This timeframe allows for the editorial review of the final report unfortunately delays in this process can result in a later publication date for the agreed final report.

9. How do I make a research suggestion?
Anyone can suggest a research topic or idea for the SDO programme to consider. ALL suggestions are considered. Please visit our make a research suggestion page for more details.
