Study findings translated into Catalan and Spanish

We are pleased to announce that research findings of SDO project Organisational factors influencing technology adoption in the NHS: a systematic literature review has been translated into both Catalan and Spanish by the Catalan Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Research (CAHTA).

The Catalan agency is a public non-profit company reporting to the Catalan Health Service. It provides information based on scientific evidence and helps to improve disease prevention, health and the quality of life of the people of Catalonia.

The study, led by Dr Glenn Roberts of Kings College London, examined previous research on how healthcare organisations make decisions about which technologies to use. The research team investigated what dimensions are critical in determining whether improvements are understood and put into practice. The three year project published its report in October 2009. The agency will disseminate the report to users on their website. Users who visit the site include researchers, health professional and experts in health technology assessment and health services.
