Researchers from four universities located in Glasgow, Dundee, Newcastle and London led by Professor Frances Mair have explored current knowledge about factors that promote or inhibit the use of e-health systems by health care professionals. Dr Glenn Robert and his team have examined previous studies of how health care organisations have made decisions about which technologies to use and have investigated what dimensions are critical in determining whether innovations are adopted, assimilated and routinised within health care organisations.
