Call 10/1008 : Responsive funding in the NIHR SDO programme

The intention of this call is provide follow-on studies to existing SDO or NIHR HTA research and to provide evidence synthesis (which draw on past primary research within the SDO programme and/or on research funded elsewhere). Scoping reviews for future research needs are also sought which are aimed at identifying and tackling major topic areas of future research need relevant to the SDO programme and its mission.

N.B. Applicants must take care to provide thorough, realistic and accurate details concerning the costing and duration of their proposed project. The SDO programme will only grant extensions to funded projects in exceptional circumstances.

Deadline

The process of commissioning will be in two stages and applicants should submit outline proposals via the SDO website by 1pm on Thursday 18 March 2010. No late proposals will be considered. No paper-based only submissions will be considered.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their outline application approximately three weeks after the SDO Studies panel meeting.
